Since his death on the Plane, regular-human Oliver has gained an ability! While he maintains eye contact with a person, he feels the emotions that they are feeling. Info about this is also described here.

So, my question to you is this:

Would Oliver be able to sense the emotions of your character?

If so, while tagging please give me an idea of what their general emotions are at the time and if, for some reason, eye contact is not possible/not happening. Thanks much!

Oliver can sense Christopher's emotions, but they're generally uncomfortable. He is laughing mad, so to speak: he's so excitable and happy all the time because he hit the rock bottom of despair and has been living there for decades. It's sincere happiness, but it's also sick. I imagine that if Oliver makes eye-contact in a normal thread, he'd get a strong shock of joy, but it would be almost nauseating joyfulness. If that makes sense?

Yes, precisely! Christopher is an extremely disturbed individual, so his happiness is disturbed with him.

For Kiran's current experiment, it is definitely possible for Oliver to look him in the eye, though it might be difficult at first, given Kiran's lack of sleep (thank you night terrors and migraines :B( )

But knowing Oliver's knack for keeping Kiran's attention, eye contact can be maintained and what can generally be seen is a desire to connect with people, mixed in with a bit of loneliness because he wants to bond with people but he doesn't want his reality's problems to bleed over them. This also gives him a good dose of fear and anxiety.

Totally possible! One of Hakkai's eyes is a biomechanical implant, I don't know if that would affect Oliver's ability or not, but the other one is his own, anyway. Most of the time what he'll get is a surface of cheer tinged with bitterness underneath and despair around the edges.

Ahaha, don't feel too sorry for him, he did it to himself.

Yet another complicated redhead. You are absolutely allowed to read Gojyo's emotions. He doesn't have any mental barriers. For the most part, he's not depressing; it's when he's trying to brush something off as unimportant that Oliver will find some kind of discrepancy. He might also pick up on the fact that Gojyo doesn't really think much of himself. I'll elaborate more when it happens. |D

Hawk has pretty much no mental barriers, so Oliver is welcome to pick up on any of Hawk's emotions. There's an edge of caution and wariness under the surface, and a sense/fear of helplessness buried under that, but mostly there isn't that much discrepancy between what Hawk's showing and what he's feeling.

Yes, he can!
I will do my best to describe it in posts, but Canada is generally pretty calm and honest, unless he has a reason to be otherwise.
